The OneLeg stool is recommended by Occupational- and Physiotherapists.

Occupational Therapist Ingrid Hallas-Møller, Frederiksberg, Denmark

“I find the OneLeg stool suitable for preschool and kindergarten children during group and table activities. The OneLeg stool provides the child with a dynamic seating position which provides their sensory system with proper feedback that it’s possible and also pleasant to sit quietly with ease.

Especially for the unsettled child it is a gift to be able to move quietly and discreetly on the OneLeg stool, without standing out or disturbing others.

The Occupational Therapist aim to change the environment for the child to enable a change in their behaviour and this is achieved with the OneLeg stool through sensory impulses.

I also use the OneLeg stool in combination with ball games, in my therapeutic treatment of children with motor control, balance and planning issues. The dynamic seating position provided by the OneLeg stool, causes the child to practice weight transfers and the child learns to correct their posture against gravity, so balance is maintained.”

Physiotherapist Gitte Skov Frandsen, Hillerød, Denmark.

“As opposed to ordinary stools and chairs, the OneLeg stool provides flexibility. Being able to twist around on the OneLeg stool protects you from twisting and overloading your back, which is harmful.

The OneLeg also provides you with the opportunity to strengthen back and stomach muscles. The dynamic seating position means you can change your work- and seating position, and as a Physiotherapist I believe this is very important.

The OneLeg stool has many uses both inside and out. Outside it is primarily used for gardening, but it is also really useful inside for both adults and children. I can imagine using it while watching television and then you sit dynamically and this is so good for the body. Blood flow is improved and it is good for the whole body to move a little, constantly.

OneLeg can be used by both children and adults. I have children at home and they sit on their OneLeg stools really often. When they are drawing, play games and while watching television. They really like the stool. Children have a natural freedom of movement and enjoy moving, something adults forget at times. Children intuitively knows it’s good for them and this needs to transfer over to adults.”
